Temple Bar Cultural Trust is delighted to announce details of this years week-long Handel Festival which will take place in the historic quarter of the Old City of Temple Bar and other city centre locations from Friday 13th April - Friday 20th April. The Lord Mayor of Dublin Councillor Vincent Jackson will officially launch this years Handel Festival at Messiah on the Street on Friday April 13th at 1pm.

Wednesday 18th April 2007 at 6pm: Conference by Loïc Cery, introduced by Roger Little, on Saint-John Perse (1887-1975), a French poet from Guadaloupe and Nobel Prize winner for Litterature in 1960. With the support of the French Embassy in Ireland. The conference will be in French, with the possibility of question and answers in English. Followed by a wine reception. FREE Entry

The Vespers will be performed in concert on 28 April at 8pm in the Pro-Cathedral Dublin (John Dexter,conductor; Orchestra of St.Cecilia, Anna Devin & Aoife Miskelly, Soprano, John Elwes & Tony Norton, Tenor, Jeffrey Ledwidge&Stephen Fennelly, Bass, Gerard Gillen, Organ etc).
